Frequently Asked Questions

What are your items made from?

All of our fabric items are made with repurposed materials which include, but not limited to: Bed sheets, towels, clothing, curtains, etc., obtained through donations and thrift stores.  We also make items with 100% natural hemp.  The warp (colored strings) are 100% cotton.

What kind of loom do you use?

Currently, we use a 1920's Union Loom that has been in the family for four generations after it was purchased from the assembly line.  Since then, it has been a family tradition.

How long does a average sized rug take to make?

The time that goes into any product varies.  First, we must warp the loom.  Every string must be fed through two holes before being tied.  For a rug, this process takes roughly eight hours.  Next is prepping the material for the rug, which is around two hours.  Then comes weaving, roughly about an hour to two.  Then we hand tie all the pieces of warp, about an hour.  All said and done, it takes 12-13 hours to complete an average sized rug.

Do you do custom orders?

Yes!  We like to encourage custom orders to help get you the perfect product for your home, office, rv, tent, wherever you see our product being used.  If you are interested in a custom order, please contact us via the form below, e-mail, Facebook, or Instagram.

Can we use our own fabric?

Yes!  In fact, providing your own material can significantly bring down the cost of your custom order!  Contact us for more information and let us make you something Loony.

Are products machine washable?

Machine wash on delicate in cold water, hang dry.  We are in the process of creating a whole page dedicated to washing and care for your loomworks to help keep them lasting for decades to come.
